I am glad you found something that worked for you. Just be careful with sanding and taking all safety precautions.

I am working on a family room that had carpet glued down for 50 years or so. After the initial scraping to get the thicker stuff off I had to try other means. I tried many different removers and hot water, though they did get some of it off they did not get everything off. With my grinder I can get down to the bare concrete a 12 square foot section in about a half hour and using a flapdisk to its death. Now just over 200 square feet to go.

Hi Kimberly. Those floor were there the whole time. If you look closely, you can see that there are multiple wood colors/variations in the flooring. I am sorry that I do not know the exact name of the flooring used.

This definitely is a little bit of a challenge. Since these had some white spots that is where I was holding them. You can also do a partial dip if you are really concerned or do another small dip after the main one dries.

Hi Deb. Yes, we used a white white. I was a little nervous about that but by diluting and test on a few bricks we were able to see how quickly to wipe off. You can always add more paint but it hard to take away once it soaks in. We also purposely wanted some variation in colors so applied less paint mixture in those areas. Good luck with your project!
